INTRODUCING A LIMITED EDITION COLLABORATION INSPIRED BY, AND MADE FOR, AMERICA’S FIRST NATIONAL PARK.

Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) is proud to present a limited edition collaboration with Yellowstone Forever, an expression of the company’s continued commitment to supporting the health of America’s wilderness. All proceeds will benefit Yellowstone Forever, the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park, to help ensure that the park and its wildlife remains for generations to come.

As the first national park in the world, Yellowstone (est. 1872), helped to define the concept of public land and sparked a worldwide national park movement. Today, the park famous for its bubbling mud pots and explosive steam geysers is still one of the most celebrated and widely visited parks in the country.

Yellowstone has exerted its influence on JMM since before the brand’s creation. As an avid visitor of the park, founder Jerome Mage drew particular inspiration from his time watching and learning about the park’s wolf packs. Highly social and cooperative animals whose success depends on working as a team, the wolves are also a keystone species whose very presence brings beneficial effects that ripple throughout the ecosystem.

In fact, this year marks the 25th anniversary of their official reintroduction to Yellowstone. While wolves were once the top predator in the world-famous park, the wolf population was eradicated by the 1920s, leaving the wilderness without wolves for seven decades.

Their re-introduction in 1995 was a milestone for conservationism that gave biologists a unique opportunity to document what happens when an ecosystem becomes whole again. Today, approximately 100 wolves call Yellowstone home, and this is no in no small part to Yellowstone Forever.

In collaboration with Yellowstone Forever, JMM created a pair of distinct eyewear styles inspired by the natural beauty of the park itself: the “Zephirin 47 Blazing Star”, an homage to the deep colors of morning sun reflected across the sub-alpine lakes; and the “Fitzgerald Sage”, a testament to the wild majesty of the park’s verdant hills and deep forests.

Both styles are available in a limited edition of only 200, and are handcrafted in Japan using plant-based cellulose acetate. They each feature our distinct wirecore temples adorned with deep filigree engraving inspired by Native American art, as well as polarized lenses that protect (UVA/UVB), soften, and clarify.

When purchased, glasses come with an oversized micro-fiber cloth made with recycled P.E.T. (polyethylene terephthalate) fabric featuring one of three unique Yellowstone-themed prints, as well as a smooth eyewear case handcrafted in Italy using Veg-Tan leather. Additionally, all packaging for the glasses, cloth, and company literature are made of recyclable materials. From the premium plant-based frames to the refined recycled box they come in, JMM continues to expand its implementation of sustainable practices throughout its production process.

With all proceeds benefitting Yellowstone Forever, JMM hopes to support efforts that are not only critical to the continued success of Yellowstone’s wolves, but also to wildlife recovery efforts around the world, which rightfully view Yellowstone Park and its small but vibrant wolf population as a victory for wildlife, the environment, and the restoration of balance to the greater ecosystem.
